Artist's Comments

Another drawing based off of a song, but not necessarily illustrating it. Does anyone know this one? Said by many to be the original gothic song. ( Or at least the original southern gothic song.) I dunno about that, but it is kind of creepy. :)

A quick summary is that she is throwing flowers over the bridge, where her boyfriend committed suicide a year earlier.

i know the song because my parents gave me their old record collection when i was little. it was always one of my favorites. and i agree, it is quite creepy. it's neat to see some art based on it.

but anyway, this is very nice. i really like the style, especially the way her face looks. i also like the way her dress is completely black and everything else has detail and shading. good work!

I always loved this song! Great job with capturing the feeling of the song. Very classic, and very creepy. . .

:boogie: You recognised it!!! Fantastic! I am glad that you like the face! I drew it first, and then designed the rest of the drawing around it. :) I was just going to scrap it, but I am glad now that I did not.
