The Pink Giraffe

After much deliberation and many small arguments two other devious deviants and myself have started our own Deviant Art Club. The Pink Giraffe.

At first it was going to be a surrealist hang-out, but we couldn't decide on what we each considered truly surreal. Same for horror, fantasy, sci/fi etc. We finally agreed on children's illustration, and decided to try a club for those folks. We are hoping it will be a little surreal itself; our dream is to have some storybook art that is sci/fi, macabre, surreal, and fantasy as well as traditional storybook art.

At the moment the Pink Giraffe is invitation only, but if you think you have art that is appropriate for the club, or that you might want to draw art for the club if you were a member, send me a note and I'll check out your gallery/art and hash it over with my partners in crime. Or you can note the club itself.

Remember we are looking for art that is appropriate for children, so no blood, excessive violence or sex. But we are also looking for stuff that is unique too. Weird is always great!

i kind of like paint . we sculpted clay and while it was in te kiln we had to find a picture and copy it to another piece of paper and paint it simlilar to the picture . i really liked mine . but now were just painting our clay . kindaa boring .

Wow, that's pretty cool. What do you like to use best? Graphite? Ink? Paint? I used to really want to be able to do pencil portraits of people, but I never could get the hang of noses. I'd like to see some of your stuff. If you ever decide to get into storybook illustration, I just opened a club on here for children's art.
